ICARE Foundation

The International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education (ICARE) Foundation was established in 2005 by Texas A&M University to offer highest quality agribusiness education, research and career development programs for preparing students to assume leadership roles in food and agribusiness and other related industries. With the financial support from USDA FAS the ICARE develops and maintains the highest integrity and professionalism in its main components:

The Agribusiness Teaching Center (ATC) prepares agribusiness specialists armed with broad economic, marketing, and managerial skills, up-to-date communication abilities and excellent knowledge of English. The language of instruction in both undergraduate level and graduate level is English. The curriculum is western-structured, based on the agricultural economics and agribusiness curricula of the Department of Agricultural Economics and the Mays Business School of Texas A&M University.

The Master of Agribusiness (MAB) program, jointly offered by Texas A&M University and the ASAU, is the only specialized graduate program in the sphere of Agribusiness Economics in the region taught in English. The MAB program produces scholars trained in the latest methods of business and economic analysis. The program provides an international standard graduate degree from ASAU and a Graduate Certificate from Texas A&M University.

The Career Development and Counseling Center (CDCC) effectively finds employment for ATC and the ASAU graduates. CDCC manages a database of students, graduates and companies throughout Armenia; organizes career development events, career fairs.

The Research and Outreach Development Center (RODC) conducts research on relevant agribusiness topics, promotes research on Armenian agribusinesses; organizes field trips, study tours, regional and international seminars, conferences, student exchange programs.

The Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) provides professional development, course design, connections among university teachers throughout the region in the scope of Bologna Declaration, and scholarly inquiry into learning and teaching.
