The American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham) is a totally independent and self-financed business organization. AmCham is honored to work closely with the American Embassy in Armenia, and to have it as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors. However, it is not supported financially nor controlled by the American Embassy.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia is the leading business association in the country with around 100 members from all business segments. AmCham has been operating in Armenia continuously since 2000. Through advocacy efforts aimed at such areas as tax legislation and customs administration, AmCham represents its members' business interests in Armenia to the Armenian government, international organizations, and to the wider business community. AmCham is pleased to have also British, French and other European companies as members. It also maintains cordial contacts with European and other embassies and organizations.
AmCham provides an excellent source of information about Armenian business life by publishing the only English-language business magazine in Armenia, and by hosting guest speakers from the Armenian government, international organizations, and from leading businesses.
